Louise Dion

Louise Dion is running for a third term in the 2025 municipal elections in Saint-Bruno, representing District 1— Des Explorateurs.
A resident of Saint-Bruno for 44 years and a mother of four sons, she is involved in politics out of a desire to serve the citizens and a commitment to taking concrete action to improve their quality of life. An experienced municipal councillor (mission lead for planning and metropolitan affairs), Ms. Dion has worked for 35 years in various ministries and government organizations, including the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs. She has notably managed major funding agreements with the Montreal Metropolitan Community, totaling over $350 million in biofood, recreational tourism, and conservation projects aimed at enhancing natural environments.

A municipal councillor since 2017, Ms. Dion is currently responsible for human resources, community life, public works, and engineering for the City, as well as several committees, including the one on mobility and the integration of people with disabilities. She also serves on the board of directors of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil (RTL), its governance committee, and chairs its human resources committee.
Ms. Dion has spearheaded several major projects in her district, including the complete revitalization of Jolliet Park, the protection of the woodland formerly owned by Guy Laliberté, and multiple improvements to public transportation.
Here are some of her other key achievements:
- Major improvements to the snow removal policy;
- Intensive road rehabilitation, with three times more linear meters repaved than under the previous administration;
- Several enhancements to the écocentre, including extended operating hours and the addition of a new checkpoint;
- Installation of new heritage signage on street signs.
