Ludovic Grisé Farand

Mayor, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville

A fifth-generation Montarvillois and native of Saint-Bruno, Ludovic Grisé Farand holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Graduate Diploma in Specialized Accounting (DESS), and a Master's degree in Accounting. His master's research focused on the carbon market and the Lac-Mégantic tragedy. He is also a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants and holds the CPA designation.

Deeply involved in his city, he has served on the Finance, Budget, and Administration Advisory Committee of the City of Saint-Bruno. He was also a board member of the Saint-Bruno Property Owners' Association and has volunteered for numerous community activities, including the annual food drive and Christmas basket distribution.

Ludovic’s political engagement dates back many years. Long before running for office, he launched a project called Citoyens d’abord, where he went door-to-door to gather ideas, suggestions, and concerns from residents, aiming to relay them to public decision-makers so that citizens’ voices could be better heard. Over time, he compiled more than 200 pages of ideas and proposals. The more he engaged with residents, the more they encouraged him to enter politics—an idea he eventually embraced. His party's name, Citoyens d’abord Saint-Bruno, is directly inspired by this foundational project, which remains at the heart of his political commitment.

Politics is also a family tradition for him. His great-great-grandfather, Edmond Grisé, was a municipal councillor; his great-grandfather, Philias Grisé, served as mayor of Saint-Bruno; and his grandfather, Lionel H. Grisé, was a long-time municipal councillor in Saint-Bruno.

Elected as municipal councillor for District 4 in 2019 and then as mayor in 2021, Ludovic is seeking a second term in 2025 at the helm of our beautiful city, leading a competent team that is close to the people and united by a shared vision.
